1) Michelle Obama was born January 17, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois. She is the wife of the 44th and present President of the United States, Barack Obama. She is the first African-American first Lady of the United States. She attended Princeton University and the Harvard Law School before working at the law firm Sidley Austin, in Chicago.
2) Irene Rosenfeld was born May 3rd, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York. In 2004 she became the chairman and Chief Executive officer of Frito-Lay, where she promoted healthy products. In 2006 she became the Chief Executive Officer of Kraft foods Inc. Rosenfeld obtained her PH.D in marketing and statistics, and MBA and a B.A. degree in psychology from Cornell University.
3) Oprah Winfrey was born Oprah Gail Winfrey on January 29th, 1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi. She is an American television host, actress, producer, and philanthropist. She is best known for hosting her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, which is the highest rated program in history, of its kind. Her show is inspiration to many who watch it. Her support for Barack Obama during his presidential campaign estimated to bring one million votes in the 2008 Democratic Primary Race.
4) Angela Merkel was born on the 17th of July in 1954. She currently serves as a Chancellor of Germany. She was elected to the German Parliament and has been the Chairman of the Christian Democratic Union since April 10th, 2000. “She played the central role in the negotiation of the Treaty of Lisbon and the Berlin Declaration”. She is the first female Chancellor of Germany and she is the second woman to chair the G8 (2007), after Margaret Thatcher.
5) Hillary Clinton was born Hillary Rodham Clinton on October 26, 1947. She is the 67th U.S. Secretary of State. She was the US Senator for the state of New York from 2001-2009. She was the 1st Lady of the US from 1993-2001 as she is the wife of the 42nd President of the United States. She ran for the 2008 President nomination race but lost the Senator Barack Obama.
6) Indra Nooyi was born October 28, 1955. She is an Indian American executive and she is the CEO of Pepsi, Co Incorporated. On February 5, 2007 she was named the Chairperson for the company. She is a member of the Foundation Board of World Economic Forum International rescue committee and the Lincoln Center for the performing arts. She is on the Board of Trustees of Eisenhower Fellowships. She currently is serving as Chairperson of the U.S.- India Business Council.
7) Stefani Joanna Angelina Germanotta who is known as Lady Gaga was born March 28, 1986. She is an American pop star. She began performing in NYC’s Lower East Side in 2003. She enrolled in the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU but soon signed with Streamline Records. She has become one of the most influential, iconic woman to date. Amongst her influences are Queen, Madonna, David Bowie, and Michael Jackson.
Gail Kelly was born Gail Curner on April 25, 1956 in Pretoria, South Africa. Kelly is an Australian and South African business woman. She attended the University of Cape Town. She majored in history and Latin. She also obtained a Diploma in Education. In 2002, Gail Kelly became the first woman CEO of a major bank in Australia. In 2005 she became the highest paid woman at a corporation in Australia. She became the CEO of Westpac in 2008. She is married to Allan Kelly, they both have four children and live in Sydney, Australia.
9) Beyoncè Knowles was born September 4th, 1981. She is an American Pop/R&B singer, songwriter, actress, and fashion designer. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She was exposed to singing and dancing competitions at a very young age; she enrolled in many performing arts schools. She first became known through being the lead singer of the R&B group Destiny’s Child. She then made her debut solo album in 2003. She was listed by VH1 as number fifty two on it’s 100 Greatest Artists of All Time in 2010.
10) Ellen DeGeneres was born January 26, 1958. She is an American stand-up comedian, television host, and actress. She hosts her own talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She also became a judge on American Idol, during the ninth season of the show. Prior to her talk show she starred in two shows, Ellen (1994-1998) and The Ellen Show (2001-2002). During the fourth season of Ellen, she publicly came out as a lesbian in an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show (1997). She currently is married to actress Portia de Rossi. Ellen DeGeneres has won twelve Emmy’s and many other awards.
