Any which approach we can?
Bailout the automobile attention with money that should be starting to infrastructure jobs. Show your exasperation and opinion all of them out.
walleyeslayer1:
Next choosing for Congress is 2010.
Jumping the gun? No way! Don’t tell me that the Dems that were voted in would opinion opposite the automobile bailout and their dear unions.

I thought we ongoing this year.
bush
Ill vote in some republicans.
I voted against each incumbent this time! Especially those that voted for the bailout!
Me.
sorry, next election is in 2012
Really, I’m more than likely going to wait to see what happens. 2 years is a long time and they are merely doing what is de rigueur to clean up the mess of the last 8 years.
I am. There wasn’t time between the bailout and the vote to get credible candidates opposing incumbants.
But we need to work quick.
Me!!! Oh wait I can’t vote in that since I form part of the large group of people that the U.S. treats unconstitutionally for life Puertorican. But yes, I’m very interested and yes I hope they’re all wiped out of the congress.
I’d like to see those who consistently work against the best interests of the people tried with treason.
That would stop alot of the political BS.
you may want to check the history books. the last recession was finished due to the government and huge costs.
Although I agree with you about the auto industry bailout, but aren’t you jumping the gun a small? For one thing, the current Congress isn’t the same Congress that we will be voting against in 2010. We just voted the current Congress in/out. For another thing, the auto industry bailout isn’t the ONLY come forth that will be vital come 2010. Care to wait and see what happens before you jump to conclusions about the necessity of voting them out? Or are you one of those who cares more about their party than the overall state of the people? A lot can change by 2010. Give them a chance, and be a part of the solution rather than sitting back and whining. Have you done anything to fix the problem? Have you written to your congressmen to complain? Have you made any suggestions? Hmm…
That said, if things are not better by 2010, then by all means! Vote them out! But in the meantime, we’re stuck with what we have. If we all work together to resolve our problems and differences, it might not even matter.
I kind of like the color blue. I have been a life long Southern Democrat, and am sorry we couldn’t get more Democrats in Congress and all the state legislatures too.
Maybe the freshmen congressman who were with Newt Gingrich several years ago should have their records examined to see how the Republican congress did under their control.
And truth be told, I ain’t rich enough to be a Republican. How about a straight 8 years for Obama in Washington with another 8 for Biden?
Wouldnt be in the position we are in today thanks to Barney Frank, Dodd, Waters in the bunch on the housing debacle. Free loans to all!
I don’t reckon we’re gonna be able to vote them out. The Republican Party sorry to say stands for only slightly less huge government than the huge government Democrat Party. All of the candidates for RNC chair advocate continuing the same failed Clinton-Bush-Obama huge government policies (although they advocate some minor changes).
We had a chance to vote for change this year, but Ron Paul didn’t even win a single state in the GOP primaries and the Republican Party nominated a candidate who advocated an agenda virtually like peas in a pod to the extremist agenda of the new head.
Either we need a new opposition party (sorry to say, the Libertarians blew it by nominating Bob Barr for head and now have to restore confidence in their party brand and there is no other 3rd party in existence which has any hope whatsoever of apt a major party) or we need to rebuild the GOP around the principles of limited government and the free market (and other than Ron Paul, Jeff Flake, Paul Broun, Walter Jones, and a few others, there aren’t many Republicans who advocate limited government and the free market).
Me me me! They gotta verify themselves as the db’s many of us know they are and the rest will soon learn.
John V. has it exactly right. Barney Frank was warned of the dangers, but he chose to continue his gay sexual affair with Rainey from Fannie Mae…therefore..between he and Dodd, they did us in.
Your result in up a very excellent point. Obama and the Democratic congress may possibly make a fatal political mistake by bailing out Detroit.
One way to help now is to write your congressman in support of the Colombian Free Trade Covenant, which the head requires for his support of the 2nd economic stimulus package. It would open up new markets for US products and also weaken Union grip on prices.
A correlated step is to help defeat he “card check” that takes away confidential ballots from employees when unions seek to organize.
Thirdly, carefully watch for new “veiled tax hikes” appearance from Obama and the Democratic congress. The midpoint class can expect a tax hike when the Democrats let the Bush tax cuts to lapse, raising the rates to 39.6% for many. And if Obama goes ahead with his campaign promises, he will raise capital gains taxes to 28% and add another 12.5% for withholding tax for those with income of $105,000-$250,000.
Then there is Obama’s universal health care plot. Many will lose employer plans, and be subject to government-directed care, which will shrink coverage, and come out your paycheck, too.
So keep excellent notes and take action. If the Democrats do not perform when the seem to hold all the cards, we can show them the door in the midterm elections with our “ace in the hole”: our vote.
not me
May possibly have voted them out two weeks ago.
We can vote out half the House of Representatives. I believe they have staggered terms so you can never clean them all out the same election.
But I’m willing to start cleaning house in 2010 by voting them out.
Only Congressman I have in the House up for election in 2010 voted against the bailout, and vows to oppose any taxpayer money going to any affair. Neither Senator is up for re-election until 2012, and 2014.
Even then, both Senators sit on two on the most power committees in the Senate, one is committee ranking member.
EVERY member of the House is up for re-election in even years.
