The best part about this reviewer is that the table of contents mirrors the table of contents of my daughter’s textbook from school (American History: A Survey by Alan Brinkley). We looked at 3 other reviewers, and they are hard to use in analogous with the textbook because the way the chapters are organized is so different from Brinkley’s textbook. Since they take exams in school on a weekly basis BY CHAPTER, it would be tedious to use any other reviewer. While the text in the reviewer seems more detailed that in the other reviewers we scanned, it is certainly not a stand alone book for course review! The details are lacking, and reading the actual textbook is still a must in order to ace the classroom exams!

I went to the library and the local bookseller to go over as many of the AP US History guides as I may possibly to help my son. I was looking for:
1. Brief review of each period.
2. Sample AP style multiple scale questions (and answers) for each chapter
3. Sample Free Response essay and Document Based questions for each chapter.
4. Sample essays for each section with analysis of the answers
Only this one and Barron’s had what I sought.
