As a sign that it is prepared to take the corporate money out of politics and rid the U.S. political process of corporate influence, Wolf-PAC (http://www.wolf-pac.com/) founder Cenk Uygur, announced today that Chris Campbell is the PAC?s Executive Director. Campbell has worked for a number of politically progressive candidates and causes.

Wolf-PAC, a super political action committee, launched in 2011 by Uygur at Zuccotti Park, NYC, during the Occupy Wall Street Protest, seeks to overturn the Citizens United Supreme Court decision, which freed corporations and unions to spend unrestricted money on campaigns. The PAC will focus on passing what will be the 28th Amendment. The amendment calls for ending corporate personhood and publicly financing all elections.

?Our plan is to mobilize people, so that they will occupy their state capitols,” said Uygur, host of The Young Turks on Current and YouTube. ?We want the call for a Constitutional Convention to come from all 50 states. The U.S. Congress is drunk with corporate money, so proposing an amendment through Congress is hopeless. Money that comes from corporations influences politicians to act in the interest of their financial backers, on both sides of the aisle.?

Campbell?s selection follows a nationwide search that included former members of Congress, Congressional staffers, state legislators and their former aids. ?In addition to his skill set, what directed our choice was the fire for our cause that he exhibited,? said Uygur. A resident of Connecticut, Campbell has successfully leveraged massive volunteer networks, organized state and federal races, and managed campaigns and political organizations for candidates and causes throughout the United States.

?This is an exciting opportunity,? said Campbell, as he settled into his first day on the job. ?It is projected that millions of dollars will be spent to influence the outcome of the election.
