Question by Happy-2: Is there such a thing as a “liberal Republican” or a “conservative Democrat”?
And I don’t just mean Republican or Democrat in name, I mean true philosophical belief in the party’s ideals.

If there are such things, how would the Republican reconcile his liberalism with his party’s philosophy, and how would the Democrat reconcile his conservatism with his party’s philosophy?

With the growl of the Marine sergeant he was, Senator Zell Miller leaves no doubt that he believes his own Democratic Party is badly out of step with most of the country and needs to shape up or ship out. As part of a stinging critique of the Democratic Party, Miller outlines key positions on important issues that can again make the party relevant for the entire nation. From tax cuts to welfare, gun control to the environment, the arts to education, immigration to terrorism, Miller identifies

The race for Senate in Missouri is turning out to be extremely achievable for the republicans in the upcoming election after the Air Clair calamity. Recent senator Claire McCaskill has long been soaring all around in her own exclusive aircraft while making use of US citizen tax money. Based on the latest info she used the airplane for 89 government funded journeys and owes essentially 300 thousand dollars in property taxes that she hasn’t paid back. Years ago she was condemning Steve Conway in ’98 of neglecting to pay taxes, and then Bob Holden throughout 2004 when deciding to take 3 hundred tax payer funded trips on his exclusive jet, then in ’06 for her US senate election strategy she told a lie to Americans by indicating she has paid out all her owed money to the federal government.

What exactly is McCaskill thinking? The senator deceived people in the state into thinking that she is a liable tax payer who will not misuse federal government dollars and she has been selling herself with this topic for upwards of 10 years. Nevertheless she does the actual opposite of what she advocates. In a video clip, Claire states whenever her speech doesn’t match as to what she does real life, then don’t ever nominate her to the senate for additional terms. People inside the state will probably be listening to this principle strongly in the upcoming election.

You can find light to all of this; the US senate seat could possibly return to republicans next year and one challenger Sarah Steelman. She is going to be making a bid in the primary wishing to acquire the us senate job. Steelman once was the State Treasurer of Missouri plus served some time in state politics. In the year 2008 Steelman did not make a bid once again for her job and in its place she chose to run for governor, yet she couldn’t succeed the conservative primary. She does have one conservative competitor this time around and that person is US congressman Ed Martin.

Ed Martin, is the current United States congressman from Missouri’s Third electoral region, launched his bid for the US senate and his views echo that of a genuine social and fiscal conservative. His is reliable in his thinking to end abortions, defend second amendment rights, employ a rough stance on unlawful laborers, and mend the financial crisis. He has not been holding out on chances slam his republican colleague Steelman.

A few months ago on radio Martin pointed the finger at Steelman for being too centrist on account of her promotion for Arizona senator John McCain in the ’00 and ’08 republican primary. The former state treasurer rebutted in an e mail expressing she is a Reagan republican.

It is not apparent whether alternative contenders will enter the 2012 republican primary; however a couple of folks have expressed their curiosity. The primary competition will likely be ugly due to the fact whoever succeeds will most likely be able to effortlessly defeat McCaskill in the face to face election on account of her most recent political blunders.

I have a warning to the voters of America related to this November’s elections.  That message is beware the Democrat in Conservative clothing.  Electing them thinking you that are going to get a real conservative who is going to stand up for America, limited government and the like makes you a fool.

Blue Dog Democrats around the country have proven to not be a very strong impediment to the plans of their more liberal brothers and sisters in the party of, “YES!” “ABSOLUTELY!” and “YOU BETCHA!” when it comes to spending tax payer dollars on anything and everything under the sun.  I know the drill.  Sure, they sound great on the campaign trail.  They will tell you how they are pro-second amendment, anti-Obamacare, anti-Cap and Trade, pro-lower taxes, absolutely in favor of cutting spending and, if they really need to, they will even tell you that they are anti-murdering babies in the womb too.  But that is only if they absolutely have to.

When push comes to shove however we know, based on history, how they really vote.  Doubt me?  You shouldn’t!  There were plenty self-professed conservative Democrats in the House to stop Obamacare and Cap and Trade from passing but both plans made it by that body despite these protestors among the party controlling every bit of power in Washington.  Yep, despite the Blue Dogs who we are repeatedly told, often by their own words, will stand up to the radical leftist who are in control of the Democratic Party there seems to be no shortage of excuses when the time comes to fall into fall in line behind their leaders and give us wholly un-conservative, and un-American, laws or at least push them a little bit closer to passage.

Listen, I understand that there a lot of you Democrats out there whose arm would snap off at the elbow if you ever even touched a lever for a candidate other than one with that “D” next to their names much less pulled it. I know that this comes from some deep rooted phobia about how no one but a Democrat can understand the working man.  I also know that there are a lot of you who claim to be conservative and when these pretenders pop up you jump in with both feet to support them.  They then promptly turn around and betray you.  Then when the next election rolls around they tell you the same lies and use their forked tongue to justify why they betrayed you.  And you tend to believe them and return them back to Washington where they promptly betray you again.

]]>

Now, you will notice one thing that I have not done.  I have not, up to this point even mentioned the Republican Party.  I haven’t even suggested that you vote for a Republican.  Why?  Because too often Republicans are not very conservative in and of themselves.  But they generally are more conservative than any Democrat and nine times out of ten they will even be more conservative than that Blue Dog you are supporting because you fear losing your arm in some freak voting booth lever pulling accident.

Simply vote for the most conservative candidate that you know you can trust to be a conservative based on a preponderance of the evidence.  Almost never will that candidate have a “D” next to their name.  I said almost never.

All that I am asking is that if you like the conservative message some Democrat is tossing out at you like a bone to a dog don’t buy it.  If you think the Democrat is the most conservative candidate on the ballot question your conclusion.  Dig deep and find out where they really stand, not where they claim to stand.  And then question your choice a second time.  And if you still think that they are the most conservative candidate after that second questioning of your rationale think a third time and then a fourth.  And if you are still convinced that the Democrat on your local ballot is still the most conservative candidate in the race then think what happens when you send that man or woman to Washington and Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid or even President Barack Obama really needs their help to pass some part of the far left’s provably failed agenda.

Where will they fall when pressure mounts?  How much of a bribe will it take to bring them in line? And what lie will they tell you when they are forced to look you in the eye as they shake your hand while you demand an answer?  The Democratic Party is scared for their lives right now.  Repeatedly when polls are taken about whether people agree with their proposals or their actual policies that have passed the numbers show that the American people are most certainly not in favor of what they are doing.  Understanding this Democrats are going to run candidates in many races that are not going to sound really conservative to woo voters who don’t like what the party actually stands for.  Because in running these counter candidates it will enable them to retain seats in the House of Representatives and keep the likes of Nancy Pelosi in power.  At that point how conservative your local Representative from the Democratic Party is means nothing.

Whatever you may think, you will never save this Republic by electing Democrats.  You cannot even save it by electing many of the Republicans that will be vying for your vote on Election Day.  But you have to admit the truth which is that Blue Dogs turn into Lap Dogs when the whip is cracked and their self-serving growling will soothe into whimpers when the master calls them for supper.  On Election Day conservatives must unite behind the best conservative candidate in whatever party they reside.  And I repeat that may not by default be the Republican Party’s candidate.

In the end there is simply one truth to accept.  No real conservative worth their salt would run as a Democrat.  Not when the party has proven time and again to be openly hostile to the very basis of the ideology.  Understanding this will help immensely the cause of saving this Republic.  And if you still doubt me elect them and get disappointed once again.  The time is now to end the insanity.

Bobby Jindal: The Transformational Story of a Brown-skinned, Die-hard Conservative in the Deep South

Bobby Jindal is the Republican governor of the state of Louisiana. Newt Gingrich calls him "the most transformative young governor in America." Rush Limbaugh says he's "brilliant," "the real deal," and refers to him as "the next Ronald Reagan." To many conservatives, he is one of the best hopes the movement has for regaining control of the Republican Party. Jindal's career in politics reflects remarkable diligence and authenticity. He is a Christian wholeheartedly devoted to his Christian, conse

South Carolina will be a key state in deciding which candidate goes on to campaign as the nominee for the Republican Party; with Florida, Georgia and Illinois also playing significant roles on February 5 — Super Tuesday. In each of these states, a critical mass of black votes will be in play and Presidential candidates need to recognize that a considerable number of these potential votes represent conservative blacks.

At the core of its mission, Republicans for Black Empowerment (RBE) seeks to bridge the vast chasm between the GOP and the black community. To garner a greater understanding of the views of black conservative voters and provide perspective to those seeking to target this group, RBE recently conducted a membership survey, the results of which we are pleased to share with the Presidential candidates, the Republican Party, media, members of the black community and general public alike. Our goal is to ensure that the voices of black conservative voters no longer go unheard.

The RBE Survey assessed many integral questions including, which political party best represents the interests of blacks? The results of this question, in particular, showed an even split with 49 percent indicating the Republican Party represented black interests while 49 percent indicated that neither party did. The results suggest that the GOP can gain significant support from conservative blacks that say neither party best represents the issues of the community. To realize this support, the Republican Party must become more effective and persuasive in reaching out to blacks whose political views are very or somewhat conservative (more then 80 percent of RBE members). The candidates and the Party’s overall messages should highlight strategies for addressing black conservative voters’ principal concerns of Economic Growth, Terrorism, Affordable Healthcare and Illegal Immigration.

Notably, to many Americans the term “black Republican” reflects such a small number of Americans as to practically represent an oxymoron. This perception is due to a combination of i) scant media attention given to leading black conservative thinkers and political activists, ii) alienation mutually carried out by both the Republican Party and the black community and iii) minimal resources devoted by the Republican Party to consistently communicating the value of conservative solutions to blacks’ concerns.

A brazen example of this alienation was illustrated during the Republican Presidential debate hosted by Tavis Smiley and PBS on the campus of Baltimore’s Morgan State University last September. The assumption on the part of the leading Presidential candidates — all of whom claimed “scheduling conflicts” — that the predominately black audience would primarily comprise Democratic voters uninterested in hearing the conservative case for improving the state of black America was a gross miscalculation. It was also a missed opportunity for the GOP to show the black Republican community that their votes indeed are valued and wanted.

However, with polls confirming the closest race for the Republican nomination in 30 years, the margin of victory for the eventual winner will likely be slim. As a result, ironically, the potential exists for Republican candidates to obtain a meaningful edge through encouraging support from the conservative black community. Republicans for Black Empowerment strives to inform such efforts through providing insight into this growing group of voices that too often has gone unheard.

Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) August 27, 2003 -

A growing number of democrats have been voicing their concern over the image and perception of the Democratic Party. Perceived by the public as left leaning and liberal the Democratic Party moderate and conservative factions have become disenfranchised. The Republican Party has made tremendous inroads to traditionally Democratic groups, and the Democratic Party’s reaction has been to retreat to the far left. Recently a pollster for President Bill Clinton warned that The Democratic Party is “currently in its weakest position since the dawn of the New Deal.” In response to these ongoing concerns, the Conservative Democratic Caucus (CDC) was formed.

With more and more Americans identifying themselves as conservatives, and a declining percentage of Americans who identify themselves as Democrats, the CDC offers an alternative. The CDC agenda is to support and protect the Constitution and Bill of Rights, as they exist, to win back disenfranchised democrats and act as a Conservative voice in the Democratic Party.

Conservative Democrats?

Traditionally associated with the Republican Party political conservatism is by no means a strictly Republican ideology. Conservatism is an ideology, which emphasizes progress guided by reason, pragmatism, and tradition as a source of wisdom. Tracing it’s roots to Thomas Jefferson’s Democratic-Republican Caucus the Democratic party has a wealth of traditions to call upon, has well as a long history of political conservatism dating back to Andrew Jackson. Today the Party once touted as the party of the people is now portrayed in the media as a group of extreme left-wingers. This is simply not the case, in yearly voting polls more than half of Democrats identified themselves as moderate, conservative, or strongly conservative. This is not currently reflected in the Party’s image or the public’s perception.

The Conservative Democratic Caucus (CDC) is a conservative democratic organization. Its mission is to change public perception of the Democratic Party from a party of radical liberals back to its roots as a party of the people. Accomplishing this by working with a city, state and federal elected officials as well as community leaders to put forth public policy that represents the conservative and moderate majority of democrats.

Support the CDC by becoming a member, and you will be playing an important role in supporting the conservative Democrat movement — and in the process you will be plugged into the policy debates shaping the future of Democratic Party. CDC members receive on-going analysis of key policy developments, and opportunities to participate in CDC ’s events and political activities. Our efforts are entirely funded by our members and contributors from the business community so join now and make a difference.

About the Conservative Democratic Caucus

The CDC was founded in 2002 by a group of conservative and moderate democrats who were concerned over the direction and public perception of the Democratic Party. The CDC’s goal is to be the voice of the people, the conservative and moderate “silent majority” of Democrats, to win back the disenfranchised “Reagan” Democrats, and to change the public perception that the Democratic Party is composed entirely of extreme left-wing liberals, and you can help.
